Giving back: March 2021 community involvement update

At Arsenal, we’re more than free checking accounts and low rates on loans. We try as hard as we can to give back to the communities we serve. Check out some of the recent community involvement projects we’ve been working on.

Red Cross Blood Drive this April

Friday, April 9, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

We will once again be hosting the Red Cross Bloodmobile at our Arnold branch (3780 Vogel Rd.). If you’re interested in donating, please visit RedCrossBlood.org and use code ArsenalCreditUnion to schedule an appointment. You can also schedule your appointment by calling 1.800.RED.CROSS.

Pet Food Drive

Big thanks to everyone who helped us collect pet food this February. We were able to donate a total of 141 pounds of dog and cat food to Jefferson County Pet Food Pantry.

This organization donates pet food to low-income families, seniors, the disabled and the homeless in Jefferson County, Missouri. Their goal is to make sure that pets never go hungry and stay in their homes instead of ending up in shelters.

Arsenal Community Impact Fund

In late March/early April, we will begin accepting applications for the 2021 Arsenal Community Impact Fund. Nonprofits in the areas that our members live or work are welcome to apply for grant money.

Please stay tuned for more information. If you know a deserving organization, we’d love for you to share this news with them.

Shred and eRecycling events

Due to the pandemic, our document destruction and electronics recycling events scheduled in 2020 were canceled. This year, we’re planning on bringing them back! Stay tuned to your email, our website and our social media channels for more information about these events in the coming weeks.

Just like in past years, we’ll be partnering with American Document Destruction for our shred events and Midwest Recycling Center for the eRecycling events.

Here is the current schedule we have for 2021. As always, dates can change and events can be canceled, but we are very confident these events will take place. All events are scheduled to run on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. (sharp).

  • Webster Groves branch: April 10
  • Arnold branch: May 1
  • Florissant branch: May 8

  • Arnold branch: June 26
