Shred Event: Saturday, May 7 @ Arnold Rec Center
Thank you for your patience waiting for an announcement.
You are awesome. After pandemic restrictions were lifted, you helped us make our 2021 shred events some of the most well-attended ever.
Due to size limitations and safety concerns in our branch parking lots, we will be hosting a single shred event offsite this year at the Arnold Rec Center in partnership with the City of Arnold, Missouri. As always, this event is free to our members and everyone else in the community.
The event starts at 8:00 a.m. and runs until noon or until the shred trucks fill up with paper. Please follow the instructions of our staff and signs on the roads to ensure traffic runs smoothly. The shred trucks will be located behind the outdoor pool.

What should I bring to this shred event?
Our paper shred events are held to preserve natural resources, save landfill space and help you protect your identity. With the latter in mind, some of the most popular items to bring for destruction and recycling include, but are not limited to:
- Bank statements
- Credit card receipts/offers
- Cancelled checks
- Tax and insurance records
- Financial statements
- “Junk” mail
We will be partnering with Vital Records Control to safely and securely destroy and recycle your documents.
Shred Event Guidelines
Please familiarize yourself with the following guidelines before attending our shred event. This will help ensure that the event runs smoothly and everyone gets their documents destroyed/recycled in a timely fashion.
- Bring up to three (3) standard size boxes of paper or a 13-gallon trash bag (or smaller) to be securely shredded.
- For your safety, please stay inside of your vehicle. We will take your boxes out for you.
- Paper will only be accepted during the event. We will not accept early or late drop offs.
- Paper is the only acceptable material for shredding. Please do not shred things like paper clips, credit cards, etc.
EVENT DURATION SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Our community shred day features secure, on-site document destruction. The length of the event is limited to the capacity of the on-site shredding trucks, which can accommodate about 16,500 pounds, or 8.25 tons, of paper overall. Please note that the event could also end early due to other circumstances outside of our control, such as weather, equipment malfunction, etc.
