We take guarding your cards seriously

You expect a certain level of security when using your debit and credit cards – and we provide it

When you use your credit or debit card, the retailer pays a small interchange fee to their financial institution or card processor (like Visa or Mastercard) to accept, process and authorize your transaction.

Interchange acts as a safety net that helps financial institutions recover expenses when fraud due to retailer negligence and theft affect you personally.

A new law might put your transactions at risk

Right now in Congress, there’s a bill that would allow retailers to choose which network they use for credit card transactions. Most retailers will choose the cheapest – not the most secure – option.

Changes proposed by lawmakers will lead to less secure, less innovative and higher-risk transactions.

We believe this legislation is not in the best interest of consumers, small businesses and community-based financial institutions.
