Let us help take care of you
Courtesy Pay is a form of overdraft protection we provide to qualified checking account holders. If you write a check and don’t have sufficient funds, Courtesy Pay may temporarily cover you so you can make your purchase. In each case you will be charged a $28 fee and must bring your checking account back up to a positive balance within 30 days. This protection can also be extended to cover overdrafts caused by debit card transactions, ATM withdrawals, automated transfers and online bill payments.
Overdrafts are paid at the credit union’s sole discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined and you will still be assessed a $28 fee from us for having non-sufficient funds, plus the merchant will likely charge you a fee.
You're automatically enrolled
As a convenience, we enroll all new checking account members so they can be covered for overdrawn checks, but you can choose to also have other types of transactions covered. At any time, you can opt out of this coverage by contacting us and completing an Electronic Overdraft Service Authorization Form.
-
1
Protect your credit
Avoid getting entangled with a collections agency and getting a ding on your credit score.
-
2
Eliminate embarassment
Pay for what you need to, without any hiccups.
-
3
Dodge the extra fees
If your transaction is approved by the credit union even though you don't have enough money in your checking account, you only pay a fee to us rather than having to pay us the same fee on top of a fee charged by the merchant.
