Celebrating 75 years

In 1948, a group of eight people started serving employees of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in a 300-square-foot-office to give themselves more control over their money.

75 years later, Arsenal helps more than 32,000 members take control of their finances and employs close to 100 team members.

On Thursday, October 19, Arsenal officially celebrated 75 years of serving members like you. We wanted to take a minute to recap some parts of the celebration.

Employee appreciation

Our employees are the moving pieces that make the credit union work. To celebrate 75 years, staff wore their red “I love my job” shirts and enjoyed a burger bar lunch from Red Robin. We also held a staff-only drawing, and five (5) employees won $75 gift cards.

75th anniversary cookies

We’d like to send a big “thank you” to Catherine’s Cakery in Mehlville for baking, decorating and stamping all of the cookies we handed out to members for our celebration. They were delicious and didn’t last very long.

Facebook contest for members

To celebrate our members, we held a special drawing on Facebook. Thank you to everyone who participated and told us what your favorite thing about the credit union is. We appreciate all of your comments and can’t wait to help you with all of your financial needs in the future.
