On Saturday, Oct. 19, we held our first-ever shred event at the Shrewsbury Aquatic Center. We’d like to send a big thank you for everyone who was able to attend and make this event such a success.

But the big story here is how generous and caring our members truly are. A total of 171 cars full of attendees drove through the shred event. Arsenal employees were able to collect $786.84 in loose bills and spare change donations for victims of Hurricanes Milton and Helene.

We rounded up and matched the donation! Recently, we presented a check for $1,600 to the St. Louis Chapter of the American Red Cross to help with hurricane relief efforts.

Shred event results

For the shred event, we partnered with ProShred Document Shredding Services to properly dispose of 12,300 pounds (6.15 tons) of paper documents. What does that actually look like for the environment?
